Jellyfish-Wooden Bowls
A Natural Phenomena Preserved in Resin

Our resin sculptures are truly one-of-a-kind individual works of art.

Each one contains the epidermis of real farm raised moon jellyfish. In order to preserve them they must be allowed to die naturally. The jellyfish is then frozen in liquid nitrogen-after which it is preserved forever. Incandescent lighting will cause the jellyfish to glow in the dark a blue green hue. This process is referred to as bio-luminescence. Moon jellyfish can be found in most of oceans of the world, however they have very limited mobility, they can raise and lower themselves by expelling nitrogen bubbles which are present in many of the sculptures.
